The Tulips of Amsterdam

If anyone doubts the beauty and uniqueness of springtime, along with the unwavering beauty of the tulips in the Netherlands, then we hope this blog sways you. I (Jane) have long since wanted to immerse myself in the famous flowers near Amsterdam. The pull to visit Holland again has been strong. Ivan came along for the ride..

Welcome to the blog: Ivan & Jane on an old Ural
Even in late spring Holland has the best daffodils
All over Holland are beautiful tulips gardens and fields of tulips. I do believe it would be hard to beat Keukenhof Gardens, south of Amsterdam. Its only open for 6 weeks every year and its absolutely stunning. It's visited by people from all over the world and has been hosting the tulip festival for 75 years.

Riots of colour abound

So many different tulips
The trees and woodlands give a break from the formal planting areas
Water and statues lead you into different areas of the gardens
We were lucky to visit on a beautiful sunny day

The highlights were the flowers. The smells were amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed Keukenhof Gardens, a great ride..

Now to enjoy more of the Netherlands 🇳🇱
We have our lovely motorhome Daphne with us and our vintage Matchless motorcycles.
