The wind was strong as we wound our way to the top of Devils Dyke in our motorhome Daphne.
This blog is Daphne's diary and the start of a new adventure with us - Ivan and Jane - as we sit in Daphne and decide to let our house, pack up or get rid of our possessions and go travelling. A brisk, windy walk and cup of tea starts an excited talk about travelling Europe to start with and heading overseas, south for the winter. We will need to give up our jobs. It is scary and exciting.
We will keep you posted. Let the adventure begin.....
Good luck on your travels. We look forward to your reports...
ReplyDeleteI would love to do this kind of adventure, but not so sure Sue would be up for it. She likes her creature comforts too much.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time.

ReplyDeleteHi Jane Origin of the name Daphne: Derived from the Greek daphne (a laurel or bay tree). The name is borne in Greek mythology by a nymph, the daughter of the river-god Peneus. She escaped from the attentions of Apollo by being transformed into a laurel tree. Daphne plants have wonderfully scented flowers that bloom in winter. So your Daphne is helping you escape out into nature and to bloom!
